DELRAY BEACH, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2022 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — A popular Delray Beach restaurant received four high priority violations from the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation, plus another warning for a dead bird on property.

The Office at 201 East Atlantic Avenue, according to an official State of Florida inspection report, was the scene of the dead bird. This is the specific language logged: “Dead or trapped bird in control devices. Observed in upstairs attic. Operator removed, cleaned and sanitized.”

Other violations logged by the FDBPR Inspector, presented verbatim from the official report: “High Priority – Stop Sale issued on time/temperature control for safety food due to temperature abuse. Time/temperature control for safety food cold held at greater than 41 degrees Fahrenheit. Drawers under far right flat top:; Drawers under far right flat top:; raw burger (60°F); raw salmon (58°F); raw mahi (52°F); raw steak (57°F) cooked sausage (61°F) operator states items some items were restocked early morning at close. Other items have been in unit overnight. Unit has an ambient temperature of 57°F-60°F. Monitored unit for over 1 hour with no changes in temperature. **Warning**”

“High Priority – Raw animal food stored in same container as ready-to-eat food. Raw seared tuna in same container as cooked salmon. Operator removed **Corrected On-Site** **Warning**”

“High Priority – Time/temperature control for safety food cold held at greater than 41 degrees Fahrenheit. Drawers under far right flat top:; Drawers under far right flat top:; raw burger (60°F); raw salmon (58°F); raw mahi (52°F); raw steak (57°F); raw chicken (57°F); cooked sausage (61°F) operator states items some items were restocked early morning at close. “Intermediate – Spray bottle containing toxic substance not labeled. Spray bottle containing 409 at bar area not labeled. Operator labeled **Corrected On-Site** **Warning**”

The inspection on February 1st did NOT lead to a closure of the restaurant. A repeat inspection on February 2nd resulted in no violations.
