DELRAY BEACH, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2022 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — The Bistro at Kings Point, a restaurant that caters to senior citizens, received five violations in its just-completed inspection by the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation. Among them: the restaurant stored fruit and raw meat in the same place.

The following is the official text filed by the DBPR inspector. Per BocaNewsNow.com policy, we publish violations verbatim:

High Priority – Raw animal food stored over/not properly separated from ready-to-eat food…raw chicken, raw fish above cut melon, green mixed, corn beef, turkey in reach in cooler. Employee properly stored. **Corrected On-Site**

High Priority – Stop Sale issued on time/temperature control for safety food due to temperature abuse…. Time/temperature control for safety food cold held at greater than 41 degrees Fahrenheit…corn beef , hummus, hot dogs, cut melon, turkey, onion dip, tuna salad, chicken salad, egg salad, cut tomatoes, cut lettuce, raw shrimp, raw mahi-mahi all at 60°-63° in flip top reach in cooler at kitchen. Some food being held more than four hours, some are less .

Intermediate – Handwash sink not accessible for employee use at all times blocked by the broom, duster pan. Employee moved. **Corrected On-Site**

Intermediate – Proof of required state approved employee training not available for some employees. To order approved program food safety material, call DBPR contracted provider: Florida Restaurant and Lodging Association (SafeStaff).

The Kings Point Bistro was not ordered to close following the February 18th inspection. It faces an unannounced follow-up inspection.
