Seven Bridges Delray Beach Board Member Resigns.
Threat Made Moments After Another Board Member Announces Increased Insurance Premiums Due To Community Drama.

DELRAY BEACH, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2022 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — In the Delray Beach community of Seven Bridges, where there is more drama than a night on Broadway, a board member Wednesday night made a verbal threat to a former board member — all on a hot microphone.
“I wish I could hit her with an f’ing 2×4,” said the female board member who we are not identifying and who used the entire word, not “f-ing.”
The female board member, apparently, did not appreciate that her microphone was “hot” and that all audio was being broadcast over Zoom.
The exchange came after a former board member, who resigned last year, ranted for several minutes about several items — making claims that several witnesses call “untrue.” Angered by the claims and comments, the female board member made the threatening comment, seemingly thinking no one could hear what she said. Following social media outrage on Thursday, the woman resigned.
The incident would be a non-event if not for the fact that another board member had reportedly just spent nearly 20 minutes discussing a dramatic rise in insurance premiums for the Seven Bridges community due to continued “drama” within the homeowners association. Among high profile incidents: federal and state lawsuits filed against the HOA, issues with vandalism from unattended children and teens allowed to roam freely in the clubhouse, adults threatening other adults and employees, a restaurant that has changed management multiple times in the community’s five-year existence, and a 2019 golf cart crash that reportedly left one child without an ear.
At least two homeowners are in federal prison — ironically, the same federal prison — on unrelated charges. BocaNewsNow.com has learned that a third homeowner was arrested on fraud-related charges earlier this week — we are awaiting details from the agencies involved.
Assault charges were not filed following the Board meeting, despite Florida’s definition of assault being recorded in the state statute as: “An “assault” is an intentional, unlawful threat by word or act to do violence to the person of another, coupled with an apparent ability to do so, and doing some act which creates a well-founded fear in such other person that such violence is imminent.”
