DELRAY BEACH, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2022 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — If Kings Point wasn’t already an HBO documentary, we’d say Kings Point should be an HBO documentary. But where the HBO documentary focuses on love and living, it appears there should be a follow-up about fear and loathing. The Kings Point crime count is rising. Just hours after Robert A. Levine, 74, was arrested for shooting a man walking a dog on the golf course — also hitting the man with golf clubs and kicking him in the head — Mark Galis was arrested Sunday night for pushing a woman to the ground.

The Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office released this narrative written by the investigating Deputy:

“At approximately 8:30 p.m., I responded to Brittany L located in unincorporated Delray Beach, in reference to a battery that just occurred.

The alleged victim stated she resides in the above address and was pushed to the ground by her neighbor, Mark Galis, who also resides in Brittany L. The alleged victim advised me she came back from walking her dog and was about to walk inside her residence. Prior to her walking inside, Galis made his way over to where she was standing and began yelling at her. At that point, the alleged victim stated Galis shoved her against the wall where she hit her head and fell to the ground.”

The Deputy continues the official report:

“I then spoke with Galis. Galis stated he came back from walking his dog and was about to walk inside his residence when the alleged victim began to yell at him from the front door of her apartment. Galis advised me he then put his dog inside and walked to the woman. Once Galis was standing in front of the woman, he stated she walked towards him with a remote control in her hand. At that point Galis admitted to pushing her to the ground. Galis stated he felt threatened by the woman and the remote control that she was holding.”

A witness who spoke with PBSO allegedly told Deputies that he saw Galis push the woman to the ground. Galis was arrested and charged with battery. He was booked into the Palm Beach County Jail and later released on his own recognizance. It was not immediately clear what role the woman’s dog or Galis’ dog played in the incident.
