BROWARD COUNTY, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2022 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — Two people were shot in a car on Alligator Alley Saturday evening.
The Broward Sheriff’s Office tells BocaNewsNow.com that they responded to the scene near Mile Marker 37 to find two people shot. Their injuries were significant enough that both victims were airlifted to area hospitals. Mile Marker 37 is near the border of Broward County and Collier County. Alligator Alley runs through the Florida Everglades.
Emergency radio traffic monitored by BocaNewsNow.com indicated the victims — a man and woman — were in a silver vehicle. The man apparently called an emergency number to report that he believed both he and his wife sustained at least one gunshot wound each. Initial dispatch reports suggested that the victims were shot as some sort of ’road rage’ incident.
