BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2022 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — Tri-Rail service IS running Wednesday, despite announcements Tuesday that the system is offline until further notice. A massive system issue on Tuesday led to the closure announcement.

The system issues were apparently resolved overnight. An alert on the Tri-Rail website early Wednesday announced that the system was operational again and running as usual. Commuters are expected to find running trains throughout the day.

BocaNewsNow.com notes, however, our report early Wednesday that a train-versus-pedestrian crash south of Boca Raton is creating significant traffic issues in the area of Atlantic Blvd. and Dixie Highway. The fatal incident may lead to train slowdowns in the area.

Tri-Rail’s current train locations can be viewed through Tri-Rail’s own app, accessible here.
