BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2022 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — You may be going nowhere fast if you are planning to fly out today from Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International, Palm Beach International, or Miami International Airport. Flights delays and cancellations continue as a result of what is now Tropical Storm Alex.
At FLL: Delta, Jetblue, Allegiant, and American have cancelled or delayed multiple flights. At PBI, Delta and Jetblue seem to be the most challenged. And at MIA, American is reporting a few minor delays, with the airport’s major issues appearing to involve Delta and Frontier.
The FlightAware.com ”Misery Map” shows 195 flight cancellations nationwide today, with 491 delays as of 9 a.m. On Saturday, 694 flights within, into or out of the United States were cancelled, with 4,393 delays.
BocaNewsNow.com always advises to not just check your specific flight before heading to the airport, but determining where your plane is coming from. If that flight is delayed, your flight from South Florida will almost assuredly be delayed as well.
