The inspector recommended an ”administrative complaint” for the restaurant after documenting this on May 23, 2022:
“High Priority – Live, small flying insects in kitchen, food preparation area, food storage area and/or bar area. Observed 5 live small flying insects landing on stacked pizza boxes behind front counter/cook line. Observed approximately 2 live small flying insects at dough mixer in dough prep area not landing located on far left front counter/cook line area. **Admin Complaint**”
The inspector, according to records reviewed by BocaNewsNow.com, returned on May 24th and no violations.
Blaze Pizza was never ordered to close as a result of the violations. The restaurant, only open for a few years, has never had a bad inspection before the May 23rd visit by FL DBPR.
