BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2022 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — The Palm Beach County School Board is set to expel a middle school student during a closed session of its meeting on Wednesday.

According to documents obtained by BocaNewsNow.com, the student — who attends Conniston Middle School in West Palm Beach — came to school with e Meat Cleaver.

The incident allegedly occurred on February 2, 2022. It was not immediately clear why the student had a meat cleaver, or what the student planned to do with the knife. Any weapon, for any reason, is prohibited in Palm Beach County schools. That includes meat cleavers.

The student is expected to be expelled from regular school for the 2022-2023 school year, but virtual and other options may be permitted.
