BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2022 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — A Broward County woman, allegedly two times the legal limit for blood alcohol content in Florida, was stopped and arrested by Boca Raton Police.

Police say Katattie Jadoo of Tamarac was driving without headlights on in the early morning hours of Wednesday, the allegedly stopped in the middle of the intersection at Palmetto Park Road and Federal Highway.

The following the police narrative filed by the arresting officer:

Boca Raton Police Narrative.

At approximately 0205 hours, I was traveling northbound on Federal Highway at the intersection of Palmetto Park Rd. I observed a grey Nissan traveling ahead of me turning its headlights on and off. The vehicle was stopped at a red light at 200 Federal highway in the right outside lane. The vehicle was stopped past the stop bar and within the marked crosswalk in violation of 316.075 (1C1).

I activated my front-mounted camera to capture additional traffic violations. While traveling behind the vehicle I observed it weaving within its lane and accelerating to a maximum speed of 45 MPH in a posted 30 MPH zone I activated my emergency equipment and conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle where it Sí came to a complete stop at approximately 900 M Federal Hwy. I walked up to the driver’s side window and contacted the driver who was identified by her FL DL as S. Kawattie Jadoo.

As soon as the driver opened the window, I was presented with an extremely strong smell of alcohol emanating from the vehicle. While speaking with Jadoo I observed her eyes to be bloodshot/watery and rapidly chewing on a piece of gum. I asked Jadoo to step out of the vehicle so I could separate her from the vehicle to make sure my observations were coming from only her. Once out of the vehicle I continued to smell the odor of alcohol emanating from Jadoo even with her chewing on gum.

Jadoo explained that she was coming from a bar called The Original Fat Cats where she had consumed alcohol.

Cuffed, Jailed.

Jadoo allegedly failed multiple field sobriety tests, then provided breath samples yielding results of .145 and .135. The legal limit in Florida is .08. Jadoo was booked into the Palm Beach County Jail and later released on her own recognizance.
