Chang’s at 1400 Glades Road in Boca Raton logged multiple ”high priority” violations during two visits from the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation over two visits last week. An unannounced third inspection is pending.

JUNE 17, 2022 Inspection

High Priority – Raw shell eggs stored over/not properly separated from ready-to-eat food. Honey sauce in wok station. Operator moved eggs to bottom shelf and stored properly. **Corrected On-Site** **Warning**

High Priority – Stop Sale issued on time/temperature control for safety food due to temperature abuse. Time/temperature control for safety food cold held at greater than 41 degrees Fahrenheit. shredded lettuce (49F – Cold Holding); shredded cabbage (49F – Cold Holding); in reach in cooler#3 at cook line across from fryers. As per operator food left in the cooler overnight; no tops; no temperature logged at that time; food out of temperature for more than 4 hours; See Stop Sale **Warning**

Operator corrected from 12:00 start to accurate time of 10:30 am. Operator relabeled with correct start time. **Corrected On-Site** **Warning**

Intermediate – Paper towel dispenser at handwash sink next to three compartment sink in prep room not working/unable to dispense paper towels. Operator placed a rolled towels next to it. **Corrected On-Site** **Warning**

Operator has repair technician working on unit while we checked items. Operator added ice bags to hold product during repair while unit was turned off. **Admin Complaint**

The restaurant was not ordered to close at any time.
