UPDATE at 1 p.m. — Police tell us that Mendes was wanted on charges related to the proceeds of prostitution and money laundering.

BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2022 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — Boca Raton Real Estate Agent Sandra Liliana Mendes is being held in the Palm Beach County Wednesday morning on $200,000 bond. The bond is uncharacteristically high for Palm Beach County.

Mendes was arrested by Boca Raton Police on Tuesday on a warrant from another county. A records check performed by BocaNewsNow.com, however, did not show an outstanding criminal offense in any jurisdiction in Florida — or across the country. Mendes does, however, have what appears to b a minor traffic infraction pending in Broward County.

Mendes, 54, of Sweet Maple Lane, was booked into jail a 1:17 p.m. on Tuesday and remained locked up at 8 a.m. Wednesday.

We will update once we receive more information concerning the arrest, the county issuing the warrant, and the alleged crime committed.
