BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2022 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — Boca Raton resident Robert Sagall, 24, is again in the Palm Beach County Jail after allegedly making a bomb threat, threatening to kill someone, and taking actions leading to an ”aggravated” stalking charge. PBSO arrested Sagall early Wednesday morning. The law enforcement agency is also seeking a mental health “risk protection” order for Sagall.
While the latest arrest report continues to be processed Thursday morning, Sagall was charged in 2020 with responding to a Realtor’s unsolicited email blast with responses stating that he would kill the real estate agent and then bomb Florida Atlantic University. He was first arrested on May 12, 2020.
After more than a year of court action, prosecutors ultimately decided — in September of 2021 – to not prosecute after Sagall apparently made a deal as part of a deferred prosecution agreement. He admitted guilt, but in exchange for successfully completing a specific program, prosecutors would not move forward. Sagall’s attorneys then sought an expungement of his arrest record. Prosecutors strongly opposed that request. Court action continues on that request.
Whether Sagall was re-arrested on the original charges or allegedly took part in new criminal activity was unclear as of 7 a.m. Thursday. We will update once we receive the arrest report. Sagall is currently being held without bond.
