System Forming Far East Of Florida. Now 40 Percent Chance Of Development.

BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2022 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — The National Hurricane Center now says the tropical wave that developed just off the coast of Africa is now likely to become a tropical depression by the middle of the week.
The map, above, shows the location of where tropical depression formation is expected to occur. We note that the orange oval is not necessarily a direction of travel, but used by forecasters to show where intensification is expected to take place.

For the North Atlantic… Caribbean Sea and the Gulf of Mexico:
- Eastern Tropical Atlantic: A tropical wave located near the west coast of Africa is producing disorganized showers and thunderstorms over the far eastern tropical Atlantic. Environmental conditions appear generally conducive for gradual development of this system while it moves westward to west-northwestward at 15 to 20 mph across the eastern and central tropical Atlantic, and a tropical depression could form around the middle to latter part of this week. * Formation chance through 48 hours…low…near 0 percent.
- Formation chance through 5 days…medium…40 percent.
