BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2022 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — A Boca Raton woman told police that a man followed her out of “The Locale” at 499 South Federal Highway, then attacked her with a knife. But surveillance video — that the woman clearly didn’t realize was recording everything — showed that the woman actually attacked the man, then cut herself in an effort to convince police that she was the victim.
According to a police report reviewed by BocaNewsNow.com, Anna Toscano De Moura walked into “The Locale” and got into a “verbal argument” with the man identified as the victim. Video shows that De Moura then struck the man in the face and exits the building.
As she’s leaving The Locale, police say Anna Toscano De Moura is seen scratching her arms “attempting to create additional injuries. The footage clearly contradicts her claims and (shows) that the self-inflicted injuries were an attempt to implicate (the man) in a crime he did not commit.”
Anna Toscano De Moura is now charged with battery and “intentionally fabricating evidence and providing false testimony.” She was booked into the Palm Beach County Jail and later released on her own recognizance. She lives in the 6800 block of Entrada Place.
