DELRAY BEACH, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2022 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — A Delray Beach man Saturday morning is facing a charge of stealing a fire extinguisher. He is also charged with cocaine possession. It is unclear if the charges are stemming from the same incident.
According to the Palm Beach County Jail, Stephen Taylor of the 6300 block of Via Venetia North in Mizner Preserve is behind bars as of 9:30 Saturday morning. He was arrested late Friday afternoon by the Boca Raton Police Department. It was not immediately clear where in the City of Boca Raton the arrest took place or what led police to Taylor. The affidavit of probable cause was still being processed Saturday morning.
Friday’s arrest is not Taylor’s first run-in with City of Boca Raton police this month. Boca Raton PD filed a “mental health risk protection order” against Taylor on August 12th. He was set to return to court on that order on August 29th.
Taylor is being held on $6,000 bond, with $3,000 being set for the alleged fire extinguisher theft, and $3,000 set for the charge of cocaine possession.
