BOYNTON BEACH, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2022 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — A Boca Raton mortgage broker is facing an enhanced DUI charge following his arrest early Saturday morning.
According to jail and court records reviewed by BocaNewsNow.com, Brandenburger was stopped by Boynton Beach Police for speeding in the area of Boynton Beach Blvd. and I-95 while he was driving a Porsche.
Brandenburger allegedly provided a breath or blood sample that indicated a blood alcohol content of .15. That is nearly two times the legal limit of .08, and high enough to generate an “enhanced” DUI charge.
Brandenburger, 45, of NW 2nd Avenue in Delray Beach, was charged with “DUI – Unlawful Blood Alcohol — .15 or higher.” He was booked into the Palm Beach County Jail at 7:19 a.m. and released at 12:30 p.m. on his own recognizance. He now has a court date on September 19th. Brandenburger was also cited for not possessing valid proof of insurance at the time of the traffic stop.
Brandenburger is employed by a Boca Raton-area mortgage company.
