BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2022 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — The quiet hurricane season may be quiet no more. While we stress there is absolutely no guarantee that any of the systems marked on the map above will become anything significant, the fact that there are finally systems on a map is itself somewhat significant. Forecasters have maintained all season that this will be an “above normal” hurricane season, but so far, it’s been a dud.
That may be changing now. The National Hurricane Center is still calling for 14-20 named storms, with 6-10 hurricanes, and 3-5 major hurricanes.
