BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2022 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — Glades Road in Boca Raton is set to close again as construction led by the Florida Department of Transportation continues.
The closure, set for Wednesday night, starts at 11 p.m. and continues until 5 a.m. in the area of I-95. Detours will be in effect. Inclement weather could require the work — and the closure — to be delayed or rescheduled.
FDOT issued this advisory with specifics of the closure and detour routing:
Westbound Glades Road Full Nighttime Closure Notice: Westbound Glades Road at I-95 will be closed to traffic overnight, 11 p.m. until 5 a.m., Wednesday, Sept. 21 and Thursday, Sept. 22 for new overhead sign structure installation. Westbound traffic will be detoured via Airport Road, Spanish River Boulevard, Military Trail and Butts Road. Sunday night, Sept. 25 will be used as a contingency if needed.
The closure is part of ongoing work to expand I-95 and “install” express lanes through Palm Beach County and Broward County.
