BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2022 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — The Rotelli Pizza and Pasta location at 21747 State Road 7 in Boca Raton received multiple violations from the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation during an inspection on September 26th. The restaurant was not ordered to shut down.

Per BocaNewsNow.com policy, the following is the actual text of the two “high priority” violations, one “intermediate” violation, and three “basic” violations documented by Florida DBPR.

High Priority – Time/temperature control for safety food identified in the written procedure as a food held using time as a public health control has no time marking. Observed by hot hold – ditani pasta fresh minced garlic in olive oil, items are noted in time as a public health control plan but are not time marked. Operator posted chart and listed time according to employee as 1 pm. **Corrected On-Site**

High Priority – Operating with an expired Division of Hotels and Restaurants license. Observed license expired as of 12/01/2021. **Admin Complaint**

Intermediate – Food-contact surface soiled with food debris, mold-like substance or slime. Observed can opener blade soiled with food debris. Operator cleaned at time of inspection. **Corrected On-Site**

Basic – Single-service articles not stored inverted or protected from contamination. Observed Togo containers on cook line not inverted. Operator inverted at time of inspection. **Corrected On-Site**

Basic – Employee beverage container on a food preparation table or over/next to clean equipment/utensils. Observed employee drink on front pizza make table counter. Operator removed and stored away from food prep area. **Corrected On-Site**

Basic – Cutting board has cut marks and is no longer cleanable on cook line.

The inspector determined that while the violations “are not an immediate threat to the public,” the Rotelli location will be subject to an unannounced follow-up inspection.
