BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2022 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — A Boca Raton woman is facing disorderly intoxication and resisting arrest charges after she allegedly got into it with a Riviera Beach Police Officer. In a spectacularly written police report, which includes the word “paramour” (lover) and the unexpected plot twist that the cop arrested everyone involved before, the officer details what he says happened when he took April Butler of the 600 block of NE Mizner Boulevard into custody.
“On Sunday, October 2nd, 2022 at approximately 1556 hours, I was patrolling the “Ocean Walk” businesses and municipal beach park, located at 2600 N Ocean Drive, City of Riviera Beach, Palm Beach, Florida (Singer Island) While sitting in my marked police truck, I could bear a loud dispute coming from a pavilion located on the north side of the park near the tennis courts. I exited my patrol truck, activating my BWC (Body Worn Camera) and walked toward the pavilion.
As I got closer I could see a white male I’ve arrested in the past yelling, “Shut the f–k up” at another white male I’ve arrested in the past. As I approached, I saw a white female (Whom I’ve also arrested) with a large open bottle of vodka.
I poured the remaining alcohol out, throwing it back on the picnic table. This infuriated W/F April Lynn Butler 4/13/92, who was highly intoxicated. April took the bottle and threw it at me, which caused Vodka to hit me and vodka to spill on my uniform (All captured on BWC) I attempted to place handcuffs on April, who immediately started to resist arrest. She pulled away from me and wouldn’t allow me to handcuff her. At one point (As seen on BWC), she starts flailing her arms at me, which caused me to throw her to the ground.
Her paramour, W/M Brett Michael Jowers 10/8/86 attempted to thwart my attempt to handcuff April. I had to push Brett back, while struggling with April, I called for backup, while Brett circled me stating, “I’m gonna fu-k you up, I’m gonna beat your fu–ing ass, you fu–ing ni–er” Brett continued to threaten violence and stated, “I m gonna make you suck my dick” I pulled my taser and pointed it at Brett, holding him at bay until back up officers arrived. After placing handcuffs on April, she refused to get up and walk.
Butler was booked into the Palm Beach County Jail where she remains held on $5,250 bond.
