DELRAY BEACH, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2022 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — Boca Raton resident Yomaris Lopez allegedly had such a problem driving in the area of Military Trail and Atlantic in Delray Beach around 9:20 p.m. on September 30th that concerned witnesses called 911. Delray Beach Police found Lopez as she was exiting the Burger King parking lot at 5080 West Atlantic Avenue, and allegedly watched as she struck the sidewalk. An officer then initiated a traffic stop.

According to the police report just released and reviewed by BocaNewsNow.com, Lopez “stated that she had two drinks that were margaritas. When she was questioned about striking the curb, she responded ‘sometime you do that’ and proceeded to laugh.”

Lopez, according to police, proceeded to have a problem completing a series of field sobriety tests. She then provided a breath sample that yielded alcohol levels of .201 and .192. The legal limit in Florida is .08.

Yomaris Lopez, 57, of Birchwood Drive in Boca Raton, was booked into the Palm Beach County Jail on a DUI charge. She was later released on her own recognizance.
