BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2022 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — Popular upscale eatery “Chops Lobster Bar” at 101 Plaza Real in Boca Raton was warned by a health inspector with Florida’s Department of Business and Professional Regulation during an inspection on October 4th. The inspection report, just reviewed by BocaNewsNow.com, indicates the issues were cleared the following day. CHOPS was ordered closed on January 3rd and 4th, but was NOT ordered to close following this most recent inspection.

High Priority – Time/temperature control for safety food cold held at greater than 41 degrees Fahrenheit. 1)Observe at Draw combo flip top refrigerator by fryer Draw combo flip top refrigerator by fryer ; butter (65F – Cold Holding); cooked vegetables, (50-57F – Cold Holding) operator stated less then 2 hour. 3) observe at Cook line at room temperature ; butter milk (61F – Cold Holding) Operator placed in ice bath. High Priority – Raw animal food stored over/not properly separated from ready-to-eat food. Observe raw beef above cooked meatballs. Operator placed cooked meat balls on upper shelf. **Corrected On-Site**

Basic – Observe walls and ceiling by walk-in refrigerator surface soiled with dust.
Chops Lobster Bar was reinspected on October 5th. The serious violation was cleared. This is what the inspector wrote:
