DELRAY BEACH, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2022 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — The Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office just told BocaNewsNow.com that Gary Grieser was arrested Wednesday on a count of vehicular homicide and a second count of leaving the scene of a crash involving death.
Grieser is accused of killing Lake Worth resident Jennifer Fortin in May of 2022. Fortin was a passenger in Grieser’s 2017 Audi at the time of the wreck.
Police say Grieser was heading westbound on Woolbright Road approaching a curve when he allegedly drove off the road in the 3400 block. The vehicle spun and eventually collided with a pole. Fortin, 29, was found seatbelted in the vehicle, suffering from critical injuries. She later died. The driver left the scene but a man identified as Grieser returned to the wreck as medics were working on Fortin and attempted to speak with her.
Grieser, 28, was apprehended Wednesday by a tactical team. He lives in the 13300 block of Pineapple Palm Court in Delray Beach.
