BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2022 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — The Palm Beach County School District Wednesday is set to expel nine students for various — yet serious — violations of school district policy. BocaNewsNow.com obtained the list of incidents that led to the expulsions.
EXPULSION #1: A student at an unnamed school threatened a mass shooting or terrorism event. The incident occurred on August 18th, 2022. The student’s grade was not immediately known. The student will be expelled for one calendar year.
EXPULSION #2: A student at an unnamed school was allegedly caught with a weapon on campus. This student will be expelled for one calendar year.
EXPULSION #3: The Palm Beach County School District says the student in this case transmitted a threat of mass shooting or terrorism on August 25th. The student now faces one full year of expulsion from the regular programs of the school district.
EXPULSION #4: Officials say the student in this case was in possession of a weapon on Palm Beach County School District property on August 30th, 2022. The student will be banned from traditional school programs for one year.
EXPULSION #5: In this case, a student was found to have a weapon on school property on September 7th. The student will be expelled for one calendar year.
EXPULSION #6: This student was also found to have a weapon on school property on September 7th and will face expulsion for one year. It was unclear if this case is related to Expulsion #5.
EXPULSION #7: September 9th is when this student allegedly was found with a weapon on campus of a Palm Beach County School. The school was not revealed, but the student will face expulsion for one full year.
EXPULSION #8: This student threatened a mass shooting or terrorism event on September 12th. The student will be expelled for one year.
EXPULSION #9: School District officials say this student was found to have a weapon on a Palm Beach County School District campus on September 1st. The expulsion length is set for one year.
The Palm Beach County School District School Board will convene a closed meeting on Wednesday, November 2nd, to discuss and presumably approve these expulsions.
