BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2022 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — Power outages across South Florida are minor for now, but that may change as Nicole hits the region as a hurricane.
As of 4:15 p.m., FPL says 1,040 customers are without power in Palm Beach County. In Broward County, 450 customers are without power. And in Miami-Dade County, 1,990 customers are powerless.
Anyone experiencing a power outage is asked to call FPL at 1-800-4-OUTAGE, or access the online reporting tool here. Anyone witnessing downed power lines is asked to call 911 immediately.
Note that power outages may continue for hours if not longer. Crews are not permitted to work in extremely windy conditions.
