BOCA RATON, FL ( (Copyright © 2022 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — Tis the season for the Boca Raton Holiday Light Lighting. Yes, that’s what we’re calling it to be sensitive to everyone. The light lighting is set for Saturday night at the Mizner Park Amphitheater — 590 Plaza Real.

In the words of the City of Boca Raton’s communications team, “The first holiday event of the season, Light the Lights, will be a fun holiday festival the whole family can enjoy. The evening entertainment will consist of a holiday stage show, performances, music, a DJ, snow flurries, and more under the stars at the Mizner Park Amphitheater. The evening highlight will be the ceremonial lighting of the City’s holiday tree that will illuminate simultaneously with Mizner Park’s holiday lighting display.”

The event runs from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m., with a DJ Disco Dance Party for kids running from 6 p.m. until 7:15 p.m. There will be 25 holiday vendor booths selling all the holiday stuff that you could hope to find. The ceremonial tree lighting takes place at 7:15, where lights celebrating all holidays will be lit. A holiday themed stage show will start around 7:30 p.m.

We note the event continues rain or shine, and restrooms will be available at the Mizner Park Amphitheater. Parking will be available for free at City Hall — 201 W. Palmetto Park Road, Building Administration at 200 NW 2nd Avenue, and at the Downtown Public Library at 400 NW 2nd Avenue. Limited parking will be available in the Mizner Park garages, and street parking is available at the metered rate.
