BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2022 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — Glades Road is set to close again in the area of I-95 late Monday. The impact could be significant. Glades in the area of the Interstate is busy 24-hours a day.
The Florida Department of Transportation says the closure will run during the during the overnight hours of Monday into Tuesday, and Tuesday into Wednesday.
“Eastbound Glades Road at I-95 will be closed to traffic overnight, 11 p.m. until 5 a.m., Monday, Nov. 28 and Tuesday, Nov. 29 for new overhead sign installation,” said FDOT. ” Eastbound traffic will be detoured via Butts Road, Town Center Road, Military Trail, Palmetto Park Road, and N. Federal Highway.”
The closure will also impact Westbound traffic, according to FODT: “Westbound Glades Road at I-95 will be closed to traffic overnight, 11 p.m. until 5 a.m., Wednesday, Nov. 30 and Thursday, Dec. 1 for overhead sign installation. Westbound traffic will be detoured via Airport Road, Spanish River Boulevard, Military Trail and Butts Road.”

The work is part of the I-95 widening and the installation of the “double diamond” interchange which is expected to go live in early 2023.
