BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2022 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — The situation at the Peter Blum Family YMCA Campus in Boca Raton on Monday was not criminal.

BocaNewsNow.com received multiple calls, emails, and texts through our 561-576-NEWS reporting line that a huge police presence Monday morning indicated a serious criminal matter. Tipsters said they were prevented from getting anywhere near the campus at 6631 Palmetto Circle South.

The Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office tells BocaNewsNow.com that a body was found in the area, but that any wound was self-inflicted. While we do not traditionally report suicides, this matter generated so much concern from readers that we felt it important to share the information we learned.

There was no threat to anyone in the area. The identity, age, and gender of the person found are not being released by police at this time.
