FIVE LIVE ROACHES IN KITCHEN.

DELRAY BEACH, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2022 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — The Original Pancake House at 1840 South Federal Highway in Delray Beach was closed on December 7th under order from the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation. An inspector found five live roaches behind a potato mixer.
Per BocaNewsNewsNow.com policy, the following is the actual text written by the inspector and entered into the official record.
High Priority – Roach activity present as evidenced by live roaches found. Observed approximately 5 live roaches crawling out of electrical box on wall behind Potatoes mixer on prep area. Operator eliminated it, clean and sanitized area.
High Priority – Ready-to-eat, time/temperature control for safety food not consumed/sold within 7 days after opening/preparation. See stop sale. Observed a container with gravy dated marked 11/29. Per operator product prepared and stored for longer than 7 days Operator discarded,See Stop Sale.
Basic – Wall soiled with accumulated grease, food debris, and/or dust. Under dishwasher machine.
Basic – Accumulation of black/green mold-like substance in the interior of the ice machine/bin. Operator cleaned and sanitized **Corrected On-Site**
The closure of the Original Pancake House continued for a full day. It was permitted to reopen on December 8th, 2022.
