BROWARD COUNTY, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2022 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — Police across South Florida are preparing for holiday parties and the people who may have had too much to drink but still believe it’s okay to drive.
The Broward County Sheriff’s Office says it is launching a saturation patrol that will run from Saturday evening through Sunday morning, 5 p.m. through 5 a.m.
We note that police don’t need to announce that a program is in place to stop and arrest drunk drivers. It appears that DUI arrests are up this month across Broward and Palm Beach Counties.
BSO says that the goal of this operation is, “to deter impaired drivers who pose an immediate danger to the public as well as to cite traffic violators.”
