BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2022 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — The annual Boca Bowl is Tuesday night, with a pep rally Monday night — all in east Boca Raton and at FAU. If you are excited about Liberty University and the University of Toledo, then here’s what you need to know before you head to the area of the FAU Stadium. We note that FDOT is still planning to close I-95 Northbound in the area of Glades Road on Tuesday night — so no offense to Liberty University — but we do expect the Lord’s name to be used in vain quite a bit as thousands of fans leave FAU only to find I-95 closed by the school.
The City of Boca Raton issued the following advisory, which we pass on to our readers:
“This year the RoofClaim.com Boca Raton Bowl teams will not only battle it out on the football field, University of Toledo’s 120-member band and Liberty University’s 250-member band will go head-to-head in the bowl game’s first-ever joint pep rally on Monday, December 19 at 6 p.m. Joining in the competition at the free and open-to-the-public event are the teams’ spirit squads with special guest appearances by Toledo’s Mascot Rocky the Rocket and Liberty’s Mascot Sparky the Eagle. The high-energy rally will be located at the Mizner Park Amphitheater at the north end of Mizner Park where plenty of free garage parking is available.”
PEP RALLY FOR BOTH TEAMS
Date: Monday, December 19 at 6:00PM. It is set for the Mizner Park Amphitheater at 590 Plaza Real. The pep rally continues rain or shine.
