BROWARD COUNTY, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2022 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2022 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — A Hyundai Sonata purchased late last year at King Hyundai in Deerfield Beach can’t be fixed — at least that’s the claim made in a lawsuit just filed in Palm Beach County Circuit Court.
The suit alleges that Cynthia Junker of Deerfield purchased the 2022 Sonata N Line Night Edition on October 4th, 2021. She paid $31,741.43 for the vehicle. But after purchase, problems started. Now, she wants Hyundai to step up and do the right thing.
According to the complaint, the Sonata has a defective engine “as evidenced by the transmission replacement, and the check engine light on,” defective Boyd and trim, “as evidenced by the front hood latch not opening properly,” and other defects reflected in repair documents.
“Manufacturer was unable and or failed to adequately repair the defects in the Sonata as provided in Manufacturer’s warranty after being afforded a reasonable opportunity to cure,” states the suit which seeks a court order to fix the vehicle, presumably replace the vehicle, cover all damages incurred as a result of the vehicle’s problems, and attorneys fees.
Junker is represented by Krohn and Moss in Chicago. Hyundai has not responded to the suit just filed in Palm Beach County Circuit Court.
