UPDATE: 4:30 p.m. — There are now 70 cancellations at Fort Lauderdale Airport with 263 delays. At MIA, the cancellation count is 51, with 315 delays. At PBI, nine cancellations are on the books with 69 delays.
BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2022 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — As of 10:15 Friday morning according to FlightAware.com, at least 58 flights have already been canceled at Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport. Southwest cancelled 16, Allegiant Air cancelled 11, Frontier 6, WestJet 6, Spirit 4, United 3, Delta 3, JetBlue 2, the always problematic Alaska Airlines 2, and American 2. Of those canceled , 28 are outbound and 29 are inbound. There’s a total of 98 delays at the airport so far.
At Palm Beach International, Delta has canceled 2 flights so far, Breeze Airways 2, JetBlue 2, Allegiant Air 2, and American 1. There are 14 delays logged so far at PBI.
At Miami International, airlines have canceled 32 flights while logging 125 delays. Topping the cancellation list: American Airlines with 10, Southwest with 7, Spirit with 4, Envoy 4, Delta 2, Frontier 2, Alaska 2, and United 1.
