PBI Hit Hard With Cancellations, FLL and MIA Also Experiencing Christmas Blues…

UPDATE 5 p.m. — As of 5 p.m. Christmas Day, there are now 73 flight cancellations at FLL with 279 delays.
BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2022 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — There is no Christmas miracle for many travelers hoping to fly into our out of South Florida’s airports. At MIA, 29 cancellations are logged with 146 delays. At PBI, there are 34 cancellations and 57 delays.
According to FlightAware.com as of Noon on Sunday: FLL has already logged 59 cancellations, with 155 delays. Delta, Southwest, Spirit, and JetBlue have recorded the largest number of canceled flights.
At MIA, 24 cancellations are on the books as well as 88 delays. Delta, Spirit, Southwest, and United have logged the most cancellations at MIA.
At PBI, a surprisingly large cancellation count is ruining the holiday — 24 are flights are already axed. There are 47 delays recorded as of noon at PBI. Delta is leading the pack with cancellations — 9 already, including a flight to Atlanta and another to New York’s JFK.
