DELRAY BEACH, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2023 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — The first arrest in 2023 of Kings Point Delray Beach apparently involves drugs.

The Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office on Wednesday arrested Gilbert Valdes of Brittany H in the sprawling senior citizen community in Delray Beach. Valdes is charged with cocaine trafficking, selling cocaine, and multiple counts of “public order crimes.” He was booked into the Palm Beach County Jail just after 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday and remains held on $10,000 bond Thursday morning.

Valdes starts the arrest year for Kings Point which in 2022 saw roughly 20 residents locked up for alleged crimes including sex offenses, drug use, DUI, battery, and one man who fired a gun a someone walking a dog in an area where they apparently weren’t supposed to be walking a dog.

Valdes is 65 years old. BocaNewsNow.com records suggest that more Kings Point residents were jailed during 2022 than residents from any other community in South Palm Beach County.
