UPDATE: 2:02 p.m. — has learned that multiple “furniture pillows” were thrown out by Seven Bridges management due to blood permeating the fabric. It remains unclear how — or where — the neck laceration was inflicted, what drugs may have been ingested, or where those drugs were obtained. has confirmed that the victim is a 47-year-old male who lives in the community. The HOA, while denying’s reporting below, cites HIPAA as a reason for not sharing true information with the community. HIPAA does not apply to a Homeowner’s Association as the HOA does not provide medical care nor store medical records. Multiple sources continue to state that the story, as outlined below, is “completely accurate.”

UPDATE: 11:46 a.m. — Law enforcement sources tell that this was a potential drug overdose in the 47-year-old male found unresponsive. It remains unclear how his neck was lacerated. It also remains unclear what drugs were potentially being ingested by the 47-year-old Seven Bridges resident on or near the community’s tennis courts.

UPDATE 10:45 a.m. — A representative of “Seven Bridges” reportedly told the community this morning that the information is inaccurate. It is not. Palm Beach County Fire Rescue sources confirm that first responders were dispatched at 1:10:18 a.m. (Thursday) to 16701 Cabernet Drive which would be the closest address to the community’s tennis courts. Subsequent information indicates that the 47-year-old man was unresponsive upon arrival by fire rescue. He was transported to Delray Medical Center — the region’s trauma center — nearly half an hour later with a confirmed neck laceration.

Seven bridges things has learned from investigators that the man was found in the early hours of Thursday morning. He was lying on a tennis court — breathing — but otherwise unresponsive. Palm Beach County Fire Rescue and deputies from the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s office responded to the scene around 1 a.m. and found the man. They attempted to get him to wake up but, according to investigative sources, he remained non-responsive for several minutes. When he did regain consciousness, he apparently sat up and turned his head, revealing a massive laceration to his neck. Blood, according to an investigative source, gushed all over his clothes and onto the ground.

The man has not been identified. It is unclear if the wound was self-inflicted or criminal in nature. There is no request from the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office for suspect information.
