UPDATE: 5:36 p.m. — We are awaiting word on the identifies of the victims. BocaNewsNow.com, on the scene, has learned that two people died in the vehicle. Their bodies had to be extricated. Two other people were injured and transported to area hospitals. Multiple witnesses claim that a driver was speeding in the moments before the crash, but the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office has not yet released an official narrative.
UPDATE: 3:23 p.m. — The road remains closed as the investigation continues.
UPDATE: 1:04 p.m. — BocaNewsNow.com has learned that two people were killed in the vehicle, and a third person was trapped under the vehicle. We are awaiting word on that person’s condition.
BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2023 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — At least two people were killed around 10:20 this morning in a crash at U.S. 441 and Kimberly Blvd. in West Boca Raton.
BocaNewsNow.com was on the scene shortly after the victims were removed. At least one other person was rushed to an area hospital. We know that multiple patients had to be “extricated” from the vehicles involved.

U.S. 441 Southbound is now closed — as of 10:55 a.m. — well before Kimberly. Traffic is being diverted east to Lyons Road. Expect the closure to last for several hours.
It was not immediately clear how the crash occurred or who was involved. The Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office is investigating.
