BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2023 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — A West Boca Raton crash left one man dead and another with serious injuries, according to the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office.
Didier Estrada of the 9900 block of Floral Park Lane in Boca Raton died following the crash around 12:20 p.m. on Thursday. He survived the immediate aftermath but was pronounced dead several hours later.
According to PBSO, Estrada, on a Revolution X Moped, was “traveling eastbound on Palmetto Park Road in the right-hand shoulder, improperly passing vehicles in the outside through lane. While another driver, in a Nissan Sentra, was turning right on Veteran’s Memorial Park, Estrada entered into the Nissan’s path. The right front fender of the Nissan collided with the left side of Estrada’s motorcycle.”
Estrada, and passenger Lian Cardenas-Cedeno, were thrown from the moped. Estrada was transported to an area hospital where he died hours later. Cardenas-Cedeno remains in serious condition. The driver of the Nissan was not injured.
