DELRAY BEACH, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2023 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — Delray Beach resident Jason Dennis, who investigators say owns and manages Car City in West Palm Beach, is facing multiple fraud counts. He was arrested by the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office on Monday and locked up. He was later released on $28,000 bond.

In a multi-page arrest report, Dennis is accused of defrauding multiple vehicle buyers — securing their signatures to obtain multiple loans on multiple cars.

In one case, a woman purchased a used truck, and told Dennis to use a specific lender. He allegedly did. But Dennis is also accused of taking out a duplicate loan, in the buyer’s name, from a second lender. Dennis also allegedly never paid off the woman’s trade — despite an apparent guarantee that he would do so.

Dennis is officially charged with one count of grand theft, one count of fraud for obtaining property valued at $50,000 or more, one count of fraud for obtaining property valued between $20,000 and $50,000, and one count of using the identification of someone else without their permission.

Jason Davis, 49, lives in the 10800 block of La Reina Road in Delray Beach. A court date is pending.
