DELRAY BEACH, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2023 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — The message is sent again: if you live in Florida and you live in a community with a homeowner’s association, you need to pay your HOA dues, fees, and assessments, or you will face foreclosure. The latest example: Saturnia in West Boca Raton.

Shawn Maley, according to documents reviewed by BocaNewsNow.com, is being sued by the Saturnia Homeowners Association for back payments that date back to 2021. The amount owed as of the court filing: $13,479. At one point the total was nearly $15,000. The filing was just processed by the Palm Beach County Clerk of Courts.

The suit seeks back payment plus court costs, or the ability to foreclose a lien on the home. The property, located at 19354 Skyridge Circle in Boca Raton, was purchased for just under $800,000 back in 2017.

The homeowner had not filed a response to the foreclosure lawsuit as of 5:30 on Thursday, February 23rd. Read the complete lawsuit, below. Saturnia is represented by Attorney Robert L. Kaye.
