DELRAY BEACH, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2023 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — Another Kings Point resident is behind bars Monday night, following her arrest by the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office. And like many others, she does not fit the the profile of someone you’d expect to be living their best senior life in a retirement community.

The latest arrest is Meghan Petitt. She’s just 38 years old, but lists a unit in the Burgundy section of the senior community as her home. Her home as of mid-day Monday, however, is the Palm Beach County Jail. She’ being held without bond for a violation of her conditional release. Petitt has been arrested twice in the past several weeks for both trespass and drug possession.

Pettit joins two other Kings Point residents arrested this year, and the roughly 20 Kings Point residents arrested in 2022. Among the Kings Point Delray Beach residents arrested since January of 2022: alleged sex offenders, alleged drunk drivers, alleged drug users, alleged batterers, a man who allegedly shot at someone for walking their dog on a golf course, and others. The first Kings Point arrest of 2023 was a man accused of selling cocaine. The second arrest in 2023 was a battery charge.

Pettit’s file was not filed as of 5:15 p.m. Monday. She was booked into jail just a few hours ago and the paperwork continues to be processed.
