BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2023 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — Updating a story we first reported earlier this week, a teen was threatened with a gun in an area clubhouse. But due to incomplete information provided by the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office which was still investigating, we first reported the incident as having occurred in Boca Bridges. An update from PBSO reveals the suspect — a 14-year-old boy — lives in Boca Bridges. The incident occurred in The Oaks of Boca Raton. The Oaks is nearby Boca Bridges.
We are publishing a redacted version of the 911 call in which you’ll hear a very well-spoken teen tell a very calm dispatcher what allegedly happened. While PBSO redacted some of the information from the 911 call, we are redacting more — as the situation involves two teens. You will hear a few disjointed edits.
We encourage you to listen to the call in its entirety.
No arrests have yet been made. An investigation continues. The student with the gun is identified as a student who attends Eagles Landing Middle School. It was unclear if PBSO contacted school officials.
