UPDATE: 10:55 a.m. — Palmetto Park Road is now open in both directions at the scene of the fatal crash.
UPDATE: 10:53 a.m. — BocaNewsNow.com has learned that this is a crash involving a car and an “e-bike.” The driver of the e-bike was rushed to Delray Medical Center where they were pronounced dead. We expect to have a more thorough report late this afternoon, once police finish investigating and notify next of kin.
UPDATE at 8:38 a.m. — Initial information from the scene suggests injuries are minor.
BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2023 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — As of 8:21 a.m. Friday, Palmetto Park Road is closed in Boca Raton, between Federal Highway and Dixie Highway.
It was not immediately known how many cars were involved or whether anyone is injured. The City of Boca Raton alerted just before 8:30 a.m. that Palmetto Park Road was closed and encouraged motorists to seek alternate routes.
We will update once we learn more about the situation in Boca Raton.
