Fort Lauderdale Airport Alerts That Spirit Airways Is Cancelling Flights.

BROWARD COUNTY, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2023 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — If you’re hoping to fly out of Miami, Fort Lauderdale/Hollywood International Airport, or Palm Beach International Airport Tuesday, check with your airline. Lots of flights are being delayed or canceled due to bad weather in the northeast and California.
Fort Lauderdale airport officials went so far as to tweet an alert about Spirit which is a dominant carrier at the airport and now experiencing significant delays and canceled flights.
FlightAware.com reports nearly 900 flights have been canceled within, into, or out of the United States as of noon on Tuesday. The delay count is 2,196.
Fort Lauderdale is reporting 111 delays with 15 cancelations. At MIA, 125 flights are delayed with eight cancellations. At PBI, 21 flights are canceled and just a handful are delayed.
