BROWARD COUNTY, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2023 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — A man was shot overnight on I-95 near Broward Boulevard. Florida Highway Patrol and Broward Sheriff’s Office Detectives are investigating. BSO issued this statement to BocaNewsNow.com just after 9 a.m.
“At approximately 11:35 p.m., Broward County Regional Communications received reports of a shooting on Interstate 95 northbound, south of Broward Boulevard in unincorporated Broward County. Florida Highway Patrol troopers responded and located an adult male that had been shot while driving on the interstate.
The victim was transported by paramedics to an area hospital with injuries listed as life-threatening. At the request of FHP, detectives with Broward Sheriff’s Office Violent Crimes Unit are investigating the circumstances surrounding the shooting.
