BROWARD COUNTY, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2023 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — The reward is now $10,000 for tips leading to the arrest of a suspect in the late February double in Pompano Beach. BSO issued this statement Friday afternoon:
“Broward Sheriff’s Office Homicide Unit detectives continue to seek the public’s help with identifying the individuals involved in the Pompano Beach double homicide that occurred in February. The City of Pompano Beach has added $5,000 to the reward. Now, a tip received through Broward Crime Stoppers that leads to an arrest in this case is eligible for a reward of up to $10,000.
According to investigators, at approximately 9:01 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 26, BSO deputies responded to a shooting call at a convenience store located at 401 N.W. 27th Avenue in Pompano Beach. When deputies arrived, they located four people suffering from gunshot wounds. Pompano Beach Fire Rescue also responded and transported the victims to Broward Health North. Dayvon Johnson, 35, and Delana James, 31, were pronounced deceased at the hospital. The remaining two victims sustained injuries that were not life-threatening.
