BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2023 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — The Florida Department of Transportation is preparing to shut down I-95 Northbound at Glades Road starting Sunday night. While the official start time is 11 p.m., expect crews — and closure barriers — to be in the area a few hours earlier.
The closure will require all traffic to EXIT I-95 at Glades Road, then detoured through Boca Raton to re-enter I-95 at Yamato Road.
The closure continues until 5 a.m., which means anyone heading north bound to points north of Boca Raton will be forced off the road. Plan now. Even in the overnight hours, traffic remains significant on I-95 throughout Palm Beach County.
The closure will be repeated throughout the week — Monday night, Tuesday night, and Wednesday night. Additional nights could be added as expansion work continues.
