PALM BEACH COUNTY, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2023 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — Florida Highway Patrol is asking for tips from anyone who saw anything, or knows anything about, a body on the side of U.S. Highway 27 at mile marker 68.5.

“On March 28th, 2023 between 5:45 AM and 7:45 A., Florida Highway Patrol Lake Worth Regional Communication received a call from Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office 1 in reference to dead body found by a passing motorist on the outside shoulder of Southbound State Road 25 (U.S. Highway 27) approximately 68.5 MM within unincorporated Palm Beach County, Florida. The call was dispatched as a fatality, and subsequently the Florida Highway Patrol Traffic Homicide Investigators were called to the scene. They advised the victim was confirmed deceased on scene.
We found that a pedestrian was walking on the southbound outside shoulder and an unknown vehicle traveling south on southbound State Road 27 entered the outside shoulder and collided with a pedestrian. On scene we located tire marks, which appears to be a median size truck tire mark. We currently have no information pertaining to make/model of the vehicle. This is still an ongoing investigation.
