BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2023 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — A Boca Raton woman is facing a charge of aggravated battery after allegedly hitting her husband in the head with a hammer. It happened in the couple’s home in the 7600 block of Stanway Place East on Sunday. The police report was just processed by the Palm Beach County Clerk of Courts.
According to the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office report reviewed by BocaNewsNow.com, Marisa Nesse hit her husband with the hammer. Police documented the incident this way, based on the the official statement from the alleged victim:
“My wife, Marisa Nesse, hit me with a hammer on my head just in front of my left ear. I was laying down with the lights off when I heard the door closing. I thought she might be going outside and I said have fun. She came out of the bathroom and hit me in the head. I protected myself from further hits and took the hammer from her. I called 911.” The victim told police that he has been married to Marisa for 20 years. Police documented a “red bruise on the left side of the victim’s temple.”
Marisa Nesse apparently left the scene but was later found by deputies in the 7900 block of Del Prado Circle North. She told police that she did not hit her husband with a hammer and that she only had the hammer because she was fixing a broken shower.
Marisa Nesse was arrested, charged with aggravated battery with a deadly weapon, and booked into the Palm Beach County around 1 a.m. on Monday. She remained held in lieu of $5,000 bond Tuesday afternoon.
